entrance buggy pavilion
We made it! Here is
the entrance to our tour.
Are you ready?  It's time to climb
on board the swamp buddy.
This is where we
waited for our tour.

waiting to go calling all pigs wild hogs
Of course, we all visited the
Gift Shop and the facilities
because this was 90 minutes
through the swamp.
Michelle, our guide, just had to
shake her container of corn to bring
all of the wild hogs our way,
The wild hogs are an invasive
species here because they
root around in the grass looking
for food making it difficult
for the grazing cows to walk.

cow ful lpond swamp
Speaking of cows, Michelle
again shook her container of
corn bringing the cows for a snack.
Can you name all of the different
types of wildlife in this pond?
Now this is the swamp. There
are
several more critters
to find here.

platform girls on the bridge 300 year old tree
We are on  our way to see the
300 year old cypress tree.
Here are a couple of our
friends on the bridge.
There it is, this is one
very tall tree.

girls on the bus darth vader bus
These girls decided to
stay on the buggy.
Michelle brought a special guest.
This is Darth Vader, a baby alligator.
Michelle can tell you how long
the alligator is when
you can only see his head.
Michelle was also the only one
 to have her own windshield.
You can go to the front and take
as many pictures as you like.

a closeup of darth vader main house gators on the road
Everyone got to meet Darth Vader,
 up close and personal.
This is still a working farm.
This was the main house.
Alligators on the road!
Drive very carefully.

gators suning on the bridge We ended our tour with a nice lunch
at the Lakehouse Kitchen and Bar
in the Babcock Ranch Town Square.

The Lakehouse Kitchen and Bar
wilderness
Alligators on the bridge
heard her coming.
  What a beautiful setting.
Quiet, peaceful, we are

so lucky to be able to see
so many types of animals
in their natural habitat.
