Of course, we all
visited the Gift Shop and the facilities because this was 90 minutes through the swamp. |
Michelle, our
guide, just had to shake her container of corn to bring all of the wild hogs our way, |
The wild hogs are an invasive species here because they root around in the grass looking for food making it difficult for the grazing cows to walk. |

Speaking of cows,
Michelle again shook her container of corn bringing the cows for a snack. |
Can you name all of the different
types of wildlife in this pond? |
Now this is
the swamp. There are several more critters to find here. |

We are on our way to see the
300 year old cypress tree. |
Here are a couple
of our friends on the bridge. |
There it is, this is one very tall tree. |

These girls
decided to stay on the buggy. |
Michelle brought a
special guest. This is Darth Vader, a baby alligator. Michelle can tell you how long the alligator is when you can only see his head. |
Michelle was also the only one to have her own windshield. You can go to the front and take as many pictures as you like. |

Everyone got to meet Darth Vader, up close and personal. |
This is still a
working farm. This was the main house. |
Alligators on
the road! Drive very carefully. |

We ended our tour
with a nice lunch at the Lakehouse Kitchen and Bar in the Babcock Ranch Town Square. ![]() |

Alligators on the
bridge heard her coming. |
What a
beautiful setting. Quiet, peaceful, we are so lucky to be able to see so many types of animals in their natural habitat. |
